Things to know about St. John’s
We have a large, energetic and supportive Christian Education Team. We have ministers who enjoy working as a team and look forward to welcoming on board a new staff person.
Ours is a multicultural congregation located in a diverse and interesting neighbourhood at Broadview and Gerrard Streets. We have a healthy Young Children in Worship program that has been running for over fifteen years. We are a respectful, nurturing group of people open to new ideas. Our young people are regularly involved in leading us in worship and in projects to help people inside and outside of our church walls.
What we plan to achieve with this new position
1. More events for children and families. 2. New relationships with families and children in the neighbourhood.
We at St. John’s have something to offer our neighbourhood. We want to introduce children and their families to the Christian faith. We believe that following Christ is a positive thing for children and families. We believe that the Christian faith can transform people’s lives, help them find their place in the world and help them to make a positive contribution to the world.
We are looking for a person who is outgoing and comfortable introducing themselves and St. John’s to many different groups in the community. The person will have a passion for this work and experience in trying new things.
Once we find the right person to join our team we intend to spend a great deal of time supporting them to make sure they have a successful first year.
